Regardless of whether or not you're scanning work areas, the asset and informational layers are queried before the Select Assets step.
This allows Atlas to display the detailed information in the asset and information grids.

The default view is by work area, which will show a separate panel for each work area in the project, along with individual grids for each asset and information layer found in the work area.

You can use the grid options to do the following:
1.Zoom to - It will zoom to and highlight the asset.
2.Grid's built-in controls to sort or filter the list.
3.Download as a CSV file - You can view a single asset type to see those assets for the entire project by choosing the asset in the View Assets and GIS Info dropdown and download it.

By default, state roads and all scanned assets will be selected for inclusion in the project.
If your project also includes work on local roads, you can select them here.
