Layers

 

Layers Tool displays a list of layers and symbols that are contained in the web map.

 

Map layers are organized into groups. The visibility of all layers that fall within a group can be toggled on and off by clicking the eye icon next to the layer at the parent level or individually at the layer level.

 

Some layers have a maximum and minimum display scale or scale factor. Layers are set to only display when they are meaningful within the context of the application.

If a layer is outside of the set display scale, it will appear grayed out. 

 

In the example below, the user zoomed out beyond the scale threshold for Ortho_2019_tiled. The layer cannot be toggled on or off until the user zooms in closer.

 

Clicking the Legend tab will display the symbol of the visible layers:
